The KISS (comfortable, innovative, high-speed S-Bahn train) is an electric double-decker multiple unit from the Switzerland-based manufacturer Stadler Rail. The train set is available from two to octopartite. The largest operator is SBB, where the multiple units called RABe 511 are used in four and six-car variants in regional and national traffic. However, the Swiss BLS has 39 KISS sets with the new crash-optimized vehicle head. In 2019, Deutsche Bahn AG bought 17 KISSs from the Austrian Westbahn and converted them for use in intercity traffic. The four-IC2 trains running on the routes Rostock Dresden and Vienna Rostock. This year should these be increased to six cars. Other operators are the CFL, the Westfalenbahn, the ODEG and the MAV.
